I notice the scanline bars are poking out past the sun's circular edge, so I need to clip them to the circle shape, and the reflection could use a brightness boost since it looks too faint and dark.
The scanline bars stick out past the sun's edge. I'll clip them to the circle.

The animated synthwave sunset is in `/tmp/job-oC2uTP/index.html`. It's a single self-contained file with no external resources. I checked it in the browser through screenshots only. I didn't run the motion capture, and the only console message was the sandbox iframe warning. I didn't click or interact with it, since it has no controls. - **Sun:** a glowing yellow-to-pink gradient disc with horizontal scanline bands cut through its lower half. It sinks toward the horizon over a 24-second loop, then jumps back to the top and starts again. - **Grid:** neon magenta lines with a cyan glow. The horizontal lines scroll toward the viewer with perspective spacing, and the vertical lines converge at the horizon. - **Stars:** about 220 twinkling stars in the upper sky. - **Reflection:** a shimmering pink reflection of the sun on the ground below the horizon, plus a glowing horizon line. - **Overlay:** a faint CRT-style scanline texture over the whole scene. My first version let the scanline bars stick out past the sun's edge. I clipped them to the circle, and the second screenshot shows the sun clean.
