Build a Gray-Scott reaction-diffusion simulation on a canvas. Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed. Write it to `index.html` in the current working directory using your file tools. Inline your own CSS and JavaScript. Do not use external assets, CDNs, or network requests. No third-party libraries are provided. Required behavior: - Maintain two chemical concentration fields, U and V, with diffusion and the Gray-Scott reaction, feed, and removal terms. Evolve these fields rather than displaying a prerecorded pattern. - Use a square simulation grid with wrapping boundaries. Choose stable time and spatial steps with parameters Du = 0.16, Dv = 0.08, feed = 0.035, and kill = 0.062 in simulation units. - Initially fill the field with U = 1 and V = 0, then seed a small central region with V and reduced U. Map concentrations to contrasting colors so evolving organic patterns are visible. - Clicking or dragging adds V and reduces U near the pointer. Provide Pause/Resume and Reset; Reset restores the initial fields and seed. - Choose Canvas 2D or WebGL, and bound grid resolution and work per frame to keep interaction responsive. Verify: Sample early field evolution, then seed a separate region with the pointer. Check that the added region affects the following frames. Pause and resume, then reset and compare the restored central seed with the initial scene.

We need build single HTML self-contained. Need think carefully implement robust, performant, verification browser tools likely browser tool has actions. Need inspect initial output/console. Need likely write index.html then use browser reload/inspect/screenshot/motion, interactions perhaps click/drag. Need expose state for verification via JS maybe window.__grayScottDebug hooks to sample fields, since browser inspect might allow DOM/console? Tool inspect likely returns DOM/console perhaps evaluate? Need understand tool capabilities. We can use browser action inspect maybe screenshot, click coordinates, drag. We should design debug API to support checks perhaps console logging or global window functions and DOM status. Since browser tool "inspect DOM/console, interact, and see screenshots or motion frames." It may not evaluate arbitrary JS with key/type perhaps no direct eval. We can encode controls and status info in DOM. Could use click on hidden-ish test buttons? We should ensure representative checks. Need sample early field evolution, seed separate pointer, check following frames, pause/resume, reset compare central seed initial scene. Could expose debug values in DOM live. Maybe create built-in self-test panel? But user wants visual app; can have small readout. We can use browser key actions if keyboard shortcuts trigger debug report? Or use browser inspect likely can evaluate JS expression maybe tool description ambiguous. Let's first inspect workspace and perhaps browser tool. Build first.

Need satisfy:
- two fields U,V with diffusion Gray-Scott reaction, feed removal. Evolve.
- square grid wrapping. Stable timesteps and params Du .16, Dv .08, feed .035, kill .062 simulation units. Usually grid dx=1, dt=1 stable; use Du=.16 Dv=.08, laplacian 9-point or 5-point. Need actual stability: explicit diffusion with 5-point lap = u+(D*lap)*dt. D=.16, dt=1, max lap eigenvalue -8 for 9-point weighted? Need stable. With 5 point lap [-4 center, 1 neighbors], dt D <= .25, .16 is okay. 9-point weighted lap center -? weights .2 cardinal,.05 diagonal,. -1 center gives spectral max ~ -? For checkerboard, cardinal sum=-.8, diag sum=.2 => -1.0, stability D <=1. Fine. Reaction dt=1 can be stable with Euler due nonlinear but typical Gray Scott uses dt=1, dx=1 and these constants. Use 9-point Laplacian weighting .2 and .
05, center -1; that's common. But effective diffusion smaller than 5-point for low frequencies (coefficient 1.5 maybe? Actually .2 cardinal + .05 diagonals; Taylor coefficient = .2*1/2 + .05*1 = .15 times sum second derivatives vs standard lap with coefficient1? Standard 5-point lap approximates dx²∇²; 9 point weights .2 axes,.05 diagonals => .2* dx² u_xx *? Taylor: sum axes cardinal second = dx² u_xx, diagonals second = 2 dx²(u_xx+u_yy)? Let's derive: each diagonal f(x±h,y±h), sum -4 f center ≈ 2h²(u_xx+u_yy) + 2h² u_xy? Actually four diagonals: each expansion second x+y; sum gives 2 h² u_xx +2 h² u_yy (cross cancel), times .05 = .1 h²∇². Axis sum .2 h²∇². total .3 h²∇². So smaller than standard 5pt h²∇². Common weights 0.2 cardinal, 0.05 diagonal, -1 center imply diffusion scaled .3. This can still pattern but maybe slower. More canonical is weights cardinal 0.2, diagonal 0.05, center -1 and dt=1, D_u=0.16 yields effective .048, patterns perhaps need many iterations. Other common weights are 0.2/0.05 with D=1.0 etc. Since specified Du .16/Dv .08 maybe likely use 5-point Lap. Use 5-point to ensure classic patterns. Could use dt=1, dx=1. Need maybe multiple steps per frame (8-16) to see evolution. Grid e.g. 180x180 or 200x200. Work per frame bounded. 200²*8 = 320k cells, JS maybe okay 60fps ~19m cell ops/s perhaps potentially okay. Need typ arrays and optimized loops. Could use 160²*10=256k, okay. For visual organic patterns better 192²*8=295k. Use Canvas2D ImageData directly scaled to display size. Need account square canvas CSS and DPR maybe not necessary; internal canvas 512x512 and simulation N=192, draw to offscreen small ImageData then scale with imageSmoothing? Organic pattern should not blur perhaps `ctx.imageSmoothingEnabled=true` or false. Use internal display canvas maybe size according to devicePixelRatio min 2; draw offscreen with smoothing. Need map concentration to contrasting colors. Use V or U-V. Custom palette from dark navy/black to cyan/cream. Need make patterns visible. Map `q = clamp((V - 0.05) * 5?)` or use U-V. Let's examine typical feed .035 kill .062: stationary V around .2-.35 in spots, U maybe .5 etc. If map `v*3` to color with high contrast. Use a palette:
background U=1,V=0 => deep indigo (10,14,28)
V high => mint/cyan/yellow perhaps use q=v/0.4 clamp.
Maybe color via `t = clamp((v - 0.02)*3.6,0,1)` and a gradient stops:
0 -> (10,14,32)
0.25 -> (25,55,99)
0.5 -> (35,150,180)
0.75 -> (117,225,203)
1 -> (255,238,173).
Could use U/V mixture for richer contrast: `t=clamp((1-u)*1.3 + v*1.8,0,1)` perhaps. Requirement map concentrations to contrasting colors, we can mention both U and V. Need ensure background remains dark. Maybe `signal = clamp(v*3.0 + (1-u)*0.45, 0,1)` and palette. At initial U=1,V=0 => 0 dark; seed U=.5,V=.25 => (0.75+ .225)=.975 bright. Good.

Initial seed small central region with V and reduced U. Could choose square patch of size ~N/14 with noise to break symmetry. Need "restores initial fields and seed" deterministic. If use noise randomized on each reset, comparison of initial scene might differ. Either deterministic pseudo-random or no noise. Initial rect uniform can produce symmetric patterns but organic enough due numerical instability and pointer seeds. A small central square with V=1? Typical initialization U=0.5,V=0.25 plus random perturbation. Need deterministic noise with fixed PRNG and reset seed. For exact compare central seed with initial scene, must make reset deterministic. Define `initFields` with U=1,V=0; central disk or square. We can use deterministic hash noise from coordinates, so reset exactly same. Seed: within radius N/18 perhaps U=.5, V=.25 + 0.02*(hash-0.5); maybe small central region. Need side region after pointer to verify. pointer brush adds V and reduces U. Use `seedBrush(gridX,gridY,radius)`: for each cell within circle, U = min(U, .35 + noise?) perhaps `u = Math.min(u, 0.30 + 0.1*distFactor)`, `v = Math.max(v, 0.45*(1 - smooth dist))` or set values. Need ensure side seed evolves and visible. Typical reaction needs U=.5,V=.25; setting V=.9 may be too much and die. Better `u = Math.min(u, .5)`, `v = Math.max(v, .25)` for radius, with soft edge blending perhaps. Adding V and reducing U near pointer explicitly. Use brush radius ~N/22 (8 cells for N=192), interpolate weight `w=1 - d/r` or smoothstep. Then `u = Math.min(u, u - 0.65*w?)`; requirement "adds V and reduces U near pointer" use `u = Math.max(0, u - 0.55*w); v = Math.min(1, v + 0.35*w)`. This might make U=.45,V=.35, good. Drawing while paused should update visual even though paused. Need ensure pointer drag interpolation to avoid gaps. Use pointer events and track last position; apply brush along line at spacing radius/2. Canvas mapping from client X/Y to grid using bounding rect, with wrap? At border maybe brush should wrap too. Requirement wrapping boundaries; implement brush wrap too likely nice. Need draw on display. Click/drag add V/reduce U. Escape? Controls keyboard maybe space pause, R reset. Add buttons. Status (iteration, state) and perhaps a "sample" readout for verification. Could include a tiny HUD showing mean V or field hash, maybe useful to the user and browser inspect. Need maybe expose `window.grayScott` with `sample`, `state`, `pause`, `reset`, `seed`, `step` etc. Then browser tool might allow `inspect` and perhaps evaluation? Need see. We can add debug status text in DOM with numeric values. Browser inspect might return DOM text. Could use key shortcuts plus a button maybe `?` runs self test; but "brief pass through representative checks" we can use a hidden test overlay? Need likely use browser tool to interact and screenshots. We can also use browser screenshots/motion frames to visually check. But requirement specifically "Verify: Sample early field evolution, then seed a separate region with the pointer. Check that the added region affects the following frames. Pause and resume, then reset and compare the restored central seed with the initial scene." Need actually do this in browser. We should create a debug API and maybe use browser `inspect` to evaluate JS? Let's first learn tool behavior by maybe create minimal test? But all in index.html eventually. Could write final app then use browser. Maybe `browser inspect` response includes DOM and console; could perhaps pass text expression? Its schema action/x/y etc no `text` for inspect likely only screenshot/type use text. Could use `key` with text? Browser tool might inject keyboard string. There is no evaluate action. We can use an on-page debug panel that continuously displays values, and buttons for actions. The inspect likely gives DOM text. Or use `console.log` values via periodic JS that browser inspect reports console. Need understand.

Let's inspect environment maybe nothing.
→ bash {"command":"pwd && ls -la && find . -maxdepth 2 -type f -printf '%p\\n' | head -50"}

Need create index. Let's design carefully.

Architecture:
- HTML semantic controls, canvas center, side/bottom panel maybe responsive. A polished single page.
- CSS inline with gradient background, card, controls, canvas square, touch-action none, maybe keyboard.
- JS:
constants:
```
const N = 192; // bound
const Du=0.16, Dv=0.08, FEED=.035, KILL=.062;
const DT=1.0, DX=1.0; // stable: Du*dt/dx²=.16 <= .25
const STEPS_PER_FRAME=8; // bounded
```
Potential stability with 5-point lap and reaction needs maybe dt <=1. We can use substeps dt=0.5, 12 per frame? Explicit Euler stability for diffusion: max permissible dt = dx²/(4D) =1/(0.64)=1.5625, so dt=1 is stable. Reaction terms can cause stiffish but typical. Could choose dt=1, 8 steps. Need true spatial step: `dx=1` with lap finite difference / dx². Use `dt=1`. Mention stable CFL. But reaction nonlinearity could push values negative? Gray-Scott U'= u + dt*(Du*lap -u v² + f(1-u)); with u=1,v=1, reaction -1, so u=0; v'=1 + uv² - (f+k)v = 1+1-.097=1.903, can exceed 1; then next u negative. However initial V=.25-.35. Brush adds .35 perhaps max ~.35. Reaction can locally V approach maybe >1? Feed/kill pattern typical V max ~.4. Need clamp U,V to [0,1] after each step? That technically modifies PDE but prevents numerical divergence and is common. Use `Math.min(1,Math.max(0,...))`. Could use dt=.5 to improve stability while preserving growth; then need 16 steps to get same simulation time. Work 192²*16 ~590k per frame, maybe okay but perhaps CPU. Could use N=160 and 12 steps dt=.8? 307k. Need visually evolve reasonably quick. We can use dt=1, 10 steps, 160²=256k; good. Could choose N=176, 8 steps=248k. Need resolution bound explicit. Square grid 176 maybe odd. Use 180 or 192. We can decouple simulation frame from requestAnimationFrame with time budget: run up to e.g. 6 steps, check elapsed and stop at 10ms. "bound grid resolution and work per frame to keep interaction responsive." N fixed 180, MAX_STEPS=8, max frame compute budget maybe 11ms and steps min. Could do `for (let s=0;s<8;s++){ step(); if(performance.now()-start>10) break; }`. But on slow device less evolution. Could adapt steps based on frame duration: maybe MAX_STEPS=10, BUDGET_MS=10. Need not overcomplicate. Use `MAX_STEPS=8`, hard cap; N=180. 32.4k*8=259k cells, each cell ~10 arithmetic, fine. Could use 9-point lap gives more ops; 5-point simpler. Wrapping boundaries: precompute row up/down and col left/right arrays to avoid modulo inside inner loop. Use typed arrays Int16Array/Uint16Array for indices. Then loop:
```
for y...
 const ym=up[y]*N, yp=down[y]*N, yc=y*N;
 for x...
   const i=yc+x;
   const l=yc+left[x], r=yc+right[x], ...
   const lapU = u[l]+u[r]+u[up+ x]+u[down+x]-4*u[i];
   ...
   const uvv=u[i]*v[i]*v[i];
   nextU[i]= clamp(u[i]+ DT*(Du*lapU/dx2 - uvv + F*(1-u[i])));
   nextV[i]= clamp(v[i]+ DT*(Dv*lapV/dx2 + uvv - (F+K)*v[i]));
```
Important use old u,v and next arrays; swap. Because loops read all old arrays, write next. Good.
- `render` with offscreen `ImageData(N,N)`, palette via perhaps precomputed 256 LUT. Need use both U and V into signal. Compute quantization:
```
const signal = Math.min(1, Math.max(0, (1-u[i])*0.55 + v[i]*2.4));
const idx = (signal*255)|0;
```
Wait at background U slightly may drift due feed? U=1,V=0 is fixed, still exactly dark. Seed U=.5,V=.25 => .275+.6=.875 bright. Reaction patterns V ~.3 and U~.5 => .275+.72=.995 bright; easier saturate. Maybe adjust `v*1.8 +(1-u)*0.7`: seed .45+.35=.8, high spots .54+.35=.89. Good. Gradient stops make visible.
Could use `t = clamp(v*2.25 + (1-u)*0.65,0,1)`. For V=.1,U=.9 => .225+.065=.29, visible blue.
Need perhaps map `U` influence to dark background color and `V` to bright. Good.
Palette precompute via piecewise interpolation stops:
0 (7,10,24)
.18 (13,32,65)
.38 (18,83,128)
.6 (35,170,179)
.78 (140,226,192)
1 (255,239,174)
Could add subtle `u` maybe fine.
Set alpha 255.
Need maybe show initial seed small central region. Radius=N/18=10 cells, bright.
Noise deterministic:
```
function hash2(x,y) {
 let h = Math.imul(x+1,374761393)+Math.imul(y+1,668265263);
 h=(h^(h>>13)); h=Math.imul(h,1274126177); return ((h^(h>>16))>>>0)/4294967295;
}
```
Within disk:
```
const d=Math.hypot(x-c,y-c);
if(d<=r){
 const edge = 1 - d/r;
 const n=(hash2(x,y)-.5)*.08;
 u[i] = 0.50 + n*? + 0.05*(1-edge)?
 v[i] = 0.25 + n?
}
```
For exact deterministic scene. Maybe use smooth radius and perturb:
```
u=0.50 + 0.04*n; v=0.25+0.02*n
```
Noise within uniform central disk gives tiny organic asymmetry but not obvious. To break symmetry better, add 4 tiny satellite seeds? But "small central region" should remain central. Could add deterministic noise amplitude .04 to U/V across disk; enough to break symmetry after hundreds of iterations. Or use alternate pattern: set V=.25+0.1*(hash-.5), U=.5+0.1*(hash-.5). Fine.
Maybe represent central region with a square of 16x16 plus noise; classic Gray Scott often seeded with square and random noise. Use disk radius 12 for N=180. Could produce a circle expanding. Need check pattern evolves within time. Feed/kill .035/.062 is "mitosis"/coral? Let's recall Gray-Scott parameter map: F=0.035,k=0.062 maybe "worms" or "solitons"? At F=.035,k=.062 likely U-skate world / moving spots. Need initial seed with V=.25,U=.5. Might eventually pattern grow. Need check visually. We can run algorithm in Node maybe to simulate and output stats/PPM/PNG? Could use no external libs; maybe Node available and browser screenshots. We can inspect via browser screenshot and motion. Need maybe leverage `browser` tool. We'll write app with debug API and HUD.

Controls:
- `Pause` button toggles to `Resume`. Use aria-pressed.
- `Reset` button resets fields, generation=0, paused? Requirement Reset restores initial fields and seed. It could preserve pause state? For verification, likely reset should return initial scene and unpause or pause? If currently resumed, reset would immediately evolve in subsequent frames making comparison harder. Perhaps set `paused=true` on reset, with button "Resume". But requirement "Reset restores initial fields and seed" and typical reset should restart evolution. Could maintain running state. To compare initial scene, pause then reset while paused, screenshot; initial scene after page load likely running, so no exact initial. We could initial state `paused=false` and debug API can capture initial field signature. Need design verification.

Maybe reset should pause to clearly show initial seed, with label "Start evolution" not exactly Pause/Resume. But required "Provide Pause/Resume and Reset"; could reset set paused=true, then user clicks Resume. This supports comparing to initial scene easily. But likely users expect reset then simulation continues. Yet not mandated. Could preserve running state but debug API can create exact initial by calling `reset(true)`. For browser verification we can pause first then reset, resulting initial state stable. We could also expose initial scene as a ghost thumbnail or `initialSignature`. Need "compare restored central seed with initial scene" could use debug API to compute hash of initial and reset fields, plus DOM debug readout. We can implement a built-in deterministic signature function and status. Maybe ensure reset restores exactly by using `baseU/baseV` arrays created at setup; reset simply `u.set(baseU);v.set(baseV)`, generation=0. Then initial and reset fields are bitwise identical. We can show a "field signature" numeric value and perhaps initial baseline. Could use `window.__grayScott.debug` etc but browser tool may not evaluate. Could add a "Diagnostics" line in DOM showing iteration, meanV, seed-region meanV, side-region meanV, field signature, and baseline signature. Then browser inspect can read it. Need update each frame, maybe use textContent. That's fine.

Define regions:
- central sample region e.g. disk radius r+2 around center. Compute mean V or sum.
- side region perhaps at (N*0.24,N*0.28) radius 8 (where we plan pointer seed). Need pointer coordinate map to canvas. To verify pointer add separate region, easiest click at canvas position corresponding to e.g. 25%,25%. Need compute side region center from canvas: canvas CSS max 600 square; browser viewport 1200x800, layout maybe canvas 600x600 at x etc. We'll use screenshot to know coords. Better expose click via debug? We can click canvas approximate coordinate. Need map to side region. Could use `browser drag` from x,y etc. But to verify separate region effect, we could use a built-in "probe" readout for e.g. four quadrants or a fixed upper-left region. Add diagnostics showing `corner V` mean across a small disk at normalized .25,.25. Then click at canvas .25,.25; if pointer brush radius N/20 ~9 cells, probe region radius 10, should increase from zero. Need know canvas screen coords via browser inspect perhaps bounding rect? Could maybe use `browser screenshot` to identify. Or on click, expose last pointer grid coords in DOM; inspect after click. Could use click at chosen point and then check `seed region` readout based on last pointer location? Could implement `lastBrush` meanV probe. But requirement check added region affects following frames; diagnostics can show mean V at last brush location (frozen center from first pointer event). Then after click and frames it should change. We can design debug API to facilitate.

Could use browser `inspect` action perhaps returns page JS evaluations via console? Let's see after writing. Maybe the `browser` tool's inspect includes a JS console evaluation option via `text`, but schema doesn't explicitly restrict keys; action inspect may accept `text`? We can test. But we can use keyboard-based debug commands to have page print data to console. For instance key `D` toggles diagnostics and logs snapshot. But key action maybe sends a single key. Could use `type` into an on-page `<input>` that acts as a JS command? We don't want eval due security but it's local. Could build a hidden verification panel with buttons that perform tests and show results. But user didn't ask for self-tests; extra UI perhaps acceptable if subtle. Better rely on `window.__grayScott` and the `browser inspect` might allow evaluation through console if tool has hidden behavior. Let's investigate tool by creating a tiny temporary HTML then browser inspect. But tool runs index.html; we can create final-ish skeleton with console.log and call `inspect`. Maybe can see. We can also include `<meta name=...>` etc.

Need likely use browser screenshot at least. Let's write robust app with:
- global `window.grayScott = { constants, sample(), snapshot(), seedAtNormalized(x,y), pause(), resume(), reset(), isPaused(), steps(n), fieldSignature(), initialSignature }`.
- Readout DOM `#metrics` with generation, meanV globally, central meanV, pointer region meanV, state.
- on each animation frame, update metrics maybe every 6 frames to avoid overhead.
- Stable hash signature maybe FNV-like from quantized U/V at sampled points? We can compute over all cells every 10 frames; 32k cells fine. Use `Math.round(u*1e6)` etc and bit ops; simpler:
```
let a=2166136261,b=...
for (let i=0;i<size;i+=7){ a=Math.imul(a ^ Math.round(u[i]*100000),16777619)>>>0; b...}
return `${a.toString(16)}-${b.toString(16)}`
```
Need initial signature stored at init. Reset equality can be tested via `grayScott.signatures()`.
Could show metrics:
```
"gen 0 • paused • mean V 0.0007 • center 0.241 • brush — • sig initial: abcd / now: abcd"
```
Could have more structured spans. inspect returns text perhaps.

Need maybe include a hidden developer comment with instructions? Not necessary.

Potential issue: initial page begins running immediately; initial signature baseline is stored but initial scene screenshot would be after some generations. To compare visually to initial, we can pause via button right away or use reset with paused. We can make Reset pause by default, which allows exact visual comparison with initial state if initial page also starts paused. But requirement "Sample early field evolution" implies should evolve. Could start running. For reset comparison, use debug baseline signature. We can add "Initial" thumbnail? Maybe compare reset screenshot to an initial snapshot drawn from `baseU/baseV`. Could have a small "reference" canvas showing initial seed. Then reset central seed can be visually compared to reference. Nice! A small 96x96 "initial reference" thumbnail beside controls, labeled "Initial seed (reference)" and rendered once from base arrays. Then reset should match main canvas if paused. But if reset running, thumbnails diverge quickly. Could reset set paused=true and preserve initial state until resume; then compare. User can resume. This is reasonable. But requirement says Pause/Resume and Reset; reset pausing is acceptable. Maybe include status "Reset — paused at initial field. Press Resume." Default running. Could reset while paused or running always pause. Then visual initial reference stable. That makes verification straightforward. But typical expected behavior might be clicking Reset restarts simulation automatically; not explicitly required. We can instead reset and then continue according to prior state; with a built-in "Hold initial" maybe preserve? Need choose based on tasks. "Reset restores the initial fields and seed." If it immediately evolves, it indeed restores then evolves. To compare, likely test harness will pause first then reset. We can design to preserve current pause state: if paused, stays paused; if running, continues. Then during verification we can pause first, reset, compare to initial thumbnail. Good. This is more intuitive. Let's do preserve state. Wait initial page running; the reference thumbnail is initial. We'll pause first, then reset while paused; main canvas matches reference. Great.

Need maybe allow screenshot comparison. Browser motion action can capture multiple frames; we can use `motion` to see evolution. Need sample early field evolution from metrics at gen >0. `meanV` changes slowly; central region maybe changes. `signature` definitely changes. Need output via inspect. Could maybe call `browser inspect` after reload and after a delay? The browser tool likely reload loads and waits some time. Need perhaps use `motion` with frames. Let's see.

Implementation details for pointer events:
- canvas has `pointerdown`, `pointermove`, `pointerup`, `pointercancel`; setPointerCapture. `pointerdown` always brush even on click. Need prevent scroll with CSS touch-action none.
- coordinate:
```
const rect=canvas.getBoundingClientRect();
const gx = ((e.clientX-rect.left)/rect.width)*N;
const gy = ...;
```
brush wrap:
```
function brushAt(gx,gy){
 const r=BRUSH_R;
 for dy=-r..r ...:
  const yy=(Math.round(gy)+dy+N)%N; // wrapped
...
 // use dx integer relative to gx fractional? Use center cX=Math.floor(gx), etc.
 const d2 = (x-gx)^2... maybe using dx,dy integer.
 if (d2<=r²) {
  const falloff = 1 - Math.sqrt(d2)/r;
  const w=falloff*falloff*(3-2*falloff)?
  const idx=...
  u[idx]=Math.max(0,u[idx]-0.55*w);
  v[idx]=Math.min(1,v[idx]+0.35*w);
 }
```
When dragging, interpolate:
```
function brushLine(a,b) {
 dist=Math.max(...); steps=Math.max(1,Math.ceil(dist/(BRUSH_R*.35)));
 for i=1..steps ... brushAt(...)
}
```
Need wrapping boundaries for line; if pointer moves across edge due pointer capture outside canvas, clamping? Could clamp normalized to [0,1], or wrap. map with `fract` maybe. For outside canvas, pointer capture drag can produce coordinates beyond; use wrap to keep brush. But if pointer captures and moves outside, maybe weird. Use clamp to [0,.999]. Fine. Wrapping boundaries in PDE definitely.

- On brush, set `lastBrush = {gx,gy}` first time; update `probe` region center to initial pointer down perhaps to track added region. Use `brushProbeCenter` set on pointerdown only, not on each move. The diagnostics mean V around first pointer center. Need maintain "pointer region affects following frames": sample mean at probe region after click, then after some frames. Could use JS global debug method `regionMean(cx,cy,r)` and a metrics text. Browser inspect may not call it. But if first pointer down at normalized .25,.25, fixed probe from global could be that point. We can set default probe center to (.25N,.25N). Then diagnostic always shows "NW V". That makes checks easy: click/drag there and see value rise from 0 to >0. Need ensure it is separate from central region. Use normalized .25,.25, radius maybe 9. Initial V=0 there. Pointer brush at same spot should raise mean. This is excellent. Then no need dynamic. Diagnostic line can show:
`NW probe V` (mean over disk radius 12 around .25N,.25N), `center V`, `global V`, `signature`.
Need perhaps if pointer click at visual x=.25,y=.25, brush radius grid r=8 and probe radius=12, mean rises modestly (~0.05). Good.

- `steps(n)` global for testing could manually step even paused; but pointer region effect following frames requires running. Could expose step to verify if needed.
- `sample()` returns typed array copies? If browser tool can't eval, less useful. But include:
```
sample(x,y) { return {u:u[idx],v:v[idx],...}}
regionMean...
snapshot() { return { generation,paused, meanV, centerV, northWestV, signature, initialSignature, ...};}
```
- on `console.log` initial snapshot to console perhaps inspect reports. And log on reset/pause/resume/seed? Good for verification. Maybe `console.info('[Gray-Scott] ready', ...)`; after each 120 generations log snapshot. But browser inspect console may show.
- Could create a `#diagnostics` `<pre>` with JSON-ish output of snapshot. Update every maybe 6 frames. `inspect` returns DOM text maybe. Need not rely on eval.
- Add a "Copy diagnostic"? No need.

Need perhaps use Canvas 2D. Use two canvases: main and reference. Need ensure no external assets. Use `document.createElement('canvas')` for offscreen N×N; `getImageData` perhaps createImageData. Main canvas internal 720x720? Set width/height via CSS and DPR. Since canvas rendering from offscreen image scaled to canvas. Set width/height attributes 720 perhaps fixed. CSS width 100%; aspect-ratio 1. Main canvas is square. Need not resize with DPR; fixed 720 gives crisp enough. Could set `const DISPLAY=720; canvas.width=720; canvas.height=720;` and CSS max-width: min(72vh, 680px). If browser screenshot 1200x800, canvas likely ~600 square. Use imageSmoothingEnabled=true for soft organic. We can draw with `ctx.drawImage(bufferCanvas,0,0,canvas.width,canvas.height)`. For reference canvas 108x108 internal maybe N? `ref.width=N; ref.height=N`; draw buffer once. Actually can use same palette imageData from initial state. Need render to both, but main scales. Use `bufferCtx.putImageData(imageData,0,0)` then main `drawImage(bufferCanvas,..)`. For reference use `refCtx.drawImage(bufferCanvas,0,0,ref.width,ref.height)`. However after initial setup, buffer image contains initial; call `render()` then draw reference. On each frame, `render()` updates buffer and main. The reference should not update. Good.
- Need color mapping from both U,V.
- Canvas dimensions maybe `1024` internal for high DPI but drawing from 180 grid smooth; 720 enough. `imageSmoothingQuality='high'`. Pixelated might be preferable to see grid; organic patterns soften. Use true.
- Need perhaps border overlay grid? no.

Layout: body dark, flex. Header with title, subtitle. Main `.app` grid with canvas panel and controls panel. On narrow screen stacks. canvas frame maybe with corner labels "U/V fields", "wrap". Controls:
```
<button id=pauseBtn>Pause</button><button id=resetBtn>Reset</button>
<div class=parameter-list> Du ... F,k etc </div>
<div class=swatch> low / high </div>
<canvas id=reference...>
<pre id=diagnostics>
```
Need maybe include "Click or drag on field to inject V" instruction.
- pointer overlay perhaps circle to show brush on hover; not necessary. Could add CSS cursor crosshair.
- keyboard shortcuts: space toggles pause, r reset. Avoid interfering with button focus: keydown prevent default on Space if target not button. Maybe okay.
- `Reset` restores from `initialU`,`initialV`; next arrays maybe set initial too; reset generation=0, last brush stats? Should reset NW probe value to 0. Maintain running state. render. log.
- Pause/resume: toggles boolean; button text and status class.
- `tick()` requestAnimationFrame always; if not paused, run MAX_STEPS unless budget; render each frame; increment generation by steps. If paused, no step but still maybe render only when brush; continuous rAF okay but could avoid rendering to save. Use `dirty` flag. On each frame:
```
if(!paused) { for...; gen += count; dirty=true; }
if(dirty || now-lastMetrics>200) { if(dirty) render(); updateDiagnostics(); dirty=false; }
requestAnimationFrame(tick);
```
Need if pause then click, set dirty and render. If running, render once per frame. If hard time budget stops steps, still maybe gen increments.
- Use time budget:
```
const MAX_STEPS_PER_FRAME=8;
const FRAME_BUDGET_MS=9;
let steps=0;
const start=performance.now();
while(steps<MAX_STEPS_PER_FRAME){
 simulateStep();
 steps++;
 if(performance.now()-start > FRAME_BUDGET_MS && steps>=2) break;
}
```
Potential first step on slow machine >9ms but still at least2. Fine. On normal machine 8 steps <9ms. Need avoid `performance.now()` each step overhead minimal. Could check every 2 steps.
- Work bounded: `N=180`, steps<=8. Need maybe mention in UI "180² grid · ≤8 sweeps/frame".
- Simulation stability: `DX=1`, `DT=.8` maybe safer with reaction. If dt=.8, effective diffusion CFL .128, stable. Need pattern growth over frame: 8*.8=6.4 time units/frame; at 60fps 384 units/sec; 300 frames=1920 units, enough. Typical Gray Scott needs thousands iterations at dt=1; 8 per frame => 480 iterations/sec, 10 seconds 4800 iterations. Good. If dt=.8, still fine. Explicit reaction stable? At u=1,v=.35, V'=.35+.8*(.35-.097*.35)=.421; okay. At u=.5,v=.35, u'=.5+.8*(.16lap - .06125 + .0175)=.465 etc. Fine. Use DT=0.8, DX=1; stability condition Du*dt/dx²=.128<.25. Could include in UI. The requirement "stable time and spatial steps with parameters Du=.16..." likely test may inspect JS constants. Must make them obvious. Use exactly `const Du = 0.16; const Dv = 0.08; const feed = 0.035; const kill = 0.062;` perhaps lower-case. Good. Maybe they expect dt=1; any stable is fine. Use `dt=1.0` to be canonical and simpler. Could use substepping `dt=0.5` if needed. Need choose based on actual pattern. Let's simulate in Node quickly with small script to see stats and maybe output a PPM we can convert to PNG using available tools? We can use browser screenshot to view anyway. But pre-testing numerical stability/pattern growth useful. We'll create a standalone Node command to run 1000 steps N=180, print mean/min/max and maybe convert to PNG using e.g. Python PIL maybe available. But since task wants browser anyway, we can rely on screenshot.

Need maybe use 9-point weighted Laplacian? Spec says "Choose stable time and spatial steps" likely they might look for explicit dx and dt. 5-point:
```
lap = (left+right+up+down-4center)/(dx*dx)
```
with dx=1, dt=1 stable condition for U: `Du*dt/dx² = .16 <= .25`. Good. Wrapping boundaries via precomputed index arrays. Reaction terms exactly:
`reaction = u*v*v`
`dU = Du*lapU - reaction + feed*(1-u)`
`dV = Dv*lapV + reaction - (feed+kill)*v`
Yes.

Initial seed with deterministic noise from hash. Need exact reset. Use `initialU` and `initialV` captured after `initialize()`; reset copies. Must avoid modifying initial arrays. Good.
Maybe set stored `initialSignature = fieldSignature()` and `initialCenter = regionMean(center)`. Then diagnostics show.
- Need quantize snapshot to 4 decimals.

Possible browser verification:
1. `write` index.html.
2. `browser reload`; output maybe screenshot/console info.
3. `browser inspect`; see initial DOM/console.
4. Wait maybe call `browser motion` to get frames and see evolution. Need perhaps motion action returns multiple screenshots after a period. Then `browser inspect` to get diagnostics after ~some frames.
5. Need pointer seed at NW. Determine canvas bounding box. Could use screenshot visually; perhaps inspect DOM includes bounding rect? Maybe use `browser click` at known x,y. We can set layout so canvas predictable. With 1200x800 viewport, app max-width 1100, left canvas maybe 640x640 at x~? Need screenshot. Or add JS global to log pointer coordinates and use click. Could use canvas click via keyboard accessibility? Maybe build a button "Probe seed" that programmatically calls brushAt(.25N,.25N), but requirement pointer seeding must be tested with actual pointer. Could use `browser drag` on canvas at approximate coordinate. We can use `browser screenshot` to get pixel positions from image perhaps tool returns image with 1200x800 viewport. Need estimate. Maybe browser `inspect` gives layout coordinates. Let's see once.

Could expose an overlay marker at the NW probe position on canvas so we know where to click. Add a subtle ring at (.25,.25) with label maybe "probe"? That may clutter. Could add CSS crosshair or a small translucent dashed circle drawn on the canvas after scaling, with label "NW probe". Then screenshot shows location and task can click there. But drawing overlay on main canvas after drawImage may interfere with color patterns; can be subtle. Alternatively place an absolutely positioned DOM marker over canvas at 25%/25%, pointer-events none. Then we know screenshot coordinates relative to canvas. Could also include a "seeded region" readout. This is a nice diagnostic. But perhaps unnecessary; we can derive coords via clicking and inspect `lastPointer` readout. If click lands on canvas anywhere, brush effect captured by dynamic probe center. We can implement dynamic probe center set to pointerdown location, and diagnostics show `brush V`; then no need exact fixed point. So any click on canvas will be separate from center if we choose e.g. upper-left quadrant. Use screenshot to click at x~400,y~300 perhaps. Need ensure not center. Dynamic probe shows mean around first pointerdown; then we can check it rises from 0 and changes. Great. We can still have fixed NW probe if we want. Let's implement dynamic brush probe:
```
let probe = {x:.25*N,y:.25*N, label:'NW'};
onPointerDown:
  probe={x:gx,y:gy}; brushProbeRadius=BRUSH_R+2; ...
```
metrics `brush V` around probe. After reset, set probe back to fixed (.25,.25), so value 0. Thus reset comparison can include center and probe. On pointer down, refresh and maybe show `seed region`. Need also store `brushAtSeedV` initial immediately after seeding? Could show `probe V` current; after following frames it changes. Good.
Need perhaps add a `window.grayScott.pointerSeed(nx,ny)` for programmatic but use actual pointer tool to verify.
- Need log pointer events with coordinates and `regionMean`.
- Need log on every perhaps 30 frames? Maybe too much. Use console logs on actions only; to sample early evolution, maybe initial ready log and `console.info` every 120 generations with snapshot. inspect console captures.
- Could implement keyboard shortcut `s` to log snapshot to console. Then browser `key` maybe can send. But not necessary if metrics DOM.

Need consider browser tool may show console from page if JS logs. Good.

Let's draft index.html. Need not use external fonts; use system stack. CSS polished but not too heavy. Provide responsive. Let's write.

Interesting initial frame shows ring already, simulation evolving. Need check early field evolution and patterns later. Need perhaps visual pattern may take many generations and perhaps with F=.035/k=.062 central seed may contract or grow? Need motion perhaps. Need know console generation 54 after reload; good. Need sample early field evolution with console logs from gen 6,22 etc as seen. Need seed separate region with pointer. We can click at maybe x=260,y=250 (canvas from x=40 to 850; CSS screenshot actually 1200x800 but image shows 1200? Canvas top ~106, left 41, width 808? Wait actual image is 1200x800 scaled display. Canvas from x~41 to 850, y~106 to beyond 800? The screenshot shows bottom cut at y=800 (canvas likely 808px tall extends to 914; viewport truncated). But .layout max-width 1120 and canvas width 808, height 808, so full canvas extends below viewport. Center at x445,y510; indeed central seed at center of canvas ~445,510, consistent. So NW probe at 25% canvas: x=41+202=243, y=106+202=308. We can click around x=260,y=280 or exact (243,308). Need seed separate region, then check following frames. Use browser click at x=250,y=280. But browser tool click likely may click. Need maybe use drag to test dragging too? We can drag from e.g. x=220,y=260 to x=300,y=330. But "Clicking or dragging adds V" need verify pointer. One drag is enough. Need seed separate region with pointer. Use drag from x=220,y=260 to x=300,y=330, perhaps. Need know that coordinate maps to grid e.g. (40,34) and ends (58,50); distinct from center. Then follow frames inspect. Let's do drag.

Great. Pattern organic. Pointer seeds visible at upper-left. Need check added region affects following frames: console shows probe V .0608 at gen3600 -> .0964 gen3856 -> .11685 gen3936. Good. Need pause/resume and reset compare restored central seed initial scene. Need click Pause at x~950,y~180. Then inspect maybe generation stable. Need check resume. Button coords from screenshot: Pause x~950,y180; Reset x1080,y180. Use browser click pause. Then inspect after maybe tool frames with delay? Need test that generation doesn't change while paused. Could call inspect twice with motion perhaps. Browser motion action may capture over time. Need know tool semantics; likely action `motion` returns multiple frames over some period. Could use that to check paused/resume. Let's click pause then inspect, then maybe motion or inspect again. Need maybe use `browser click`.

Great. Need resume then maybe check generation increments, then pause and reset compare. Requirement "Pause and resume, then reset and compare the restored central seed with the initial scene." We should resume, maybe use motion to see generation increase; then pause again perhaps reset while paused. The wording could be: pause and resume (confirm both), then reset and compare. We can reset while paused by clicking Pause again after resume. Or perhaps can reset while running and immediately pause; but easier: Resume -> inspect -> Pause -> Reset -> inspect. Need perhaps resume button x950,y180. Then inspect or motion. Let's click resume and maybe motion.

Resume works. Need pause again, then reset. Could click pause at 950,180 then reset at1080,180. Maybe a single tool call can't do sequential same browser? multi_tool parallel not good. Do two.

Excellent reset visually matches initial reference (small dot in thumbnail; main large central seed) and exact signature. Need maybe initial scene compare screenshot: reference thumbnail is tiny dot; main reset is big central disk at center. That's proportional. Need maybe note we saw initial field at gen0 via console and reset via screenshot; exact signature and centerV equal. Good.

Need perhaps check initial output and console from fresh reload for clear problems. We did reload, console no errors. Need perhaps verify that initial central seed is visible. Screenshot after reset shows central seed; initial reference thumbnail small dot. Need maybe fresh screenshot at initial after reload quickly? We saw reload's attached screenshot maybe not in context? It might show early pattern. Browser reload gave images attached, but not explicit in user message? Actually first reload result didn't include attached image in user text, but likely hidden. Fine. We can take screenshot after reset; good.

Need inspect potential issues:
- Responsive CSS weird: at max-width 850, `.side > h2:nth-of-type(2)` grid-column: 2 but grid-row unspecified, could overlap due auto placement. Not critical; no need.
- `makeInitialFields()` uses `u.fill(1)` then `initialU.fill(1)`, etc. Good.
- floating noise deterministic.
- `fieldSignature` samples every 5 cells; exact equality could theoretically not guarantee entire field restored, but reset `u.set(initialU)` exact. We can maybe compute full signature to be more rigorous. Every 5 cells (6480 samples) enough. Requirement compare restored central seed with initial; exact signature baseline. Could perhaps make signature include all cells, only 32k ops every 180ms negligible. Maybe better to be fully exact. But current signature not full yet label "exact match" perhaps misleading. Could update to iterate all cells, field signature robust. 32,400 cells per 180ms ~180k ops/s trivial. Also snapshot called actions and pointermove maybe could be more; still fine. Let's consider hash collision anyway but full better. We can change `i += 5` to `i++`. Not necessary but improves correctness of diagnostic "exact match". Also snapshot called in each frame every 180ms plus pointermove potentially many; but 32k ops cheap. Could do this. Need ensure no other clear problems. Also centerV initial at gen0 =0.2501, meanV=.002439, reset same. Good.

Potential issue with `generation % 240 < 24` logging condition: since generation increases by 8 or less, and diagnostic every 180ms, might log repeatedly around each 240 threshold but not too bad. Fine.

Potential issue with `pointerdown` while paused: brush and render works. Good.
Potential issue with `brushLine` and wrapping: not wrap interpolation across edges; pointer coordinate clamped so okay. PDE wrapping boundaries correct.
Potential issue with dragging seeds near canvas edge: brushAt wraps via modulo. Good.
Potential issue with `right` etc as Uint16Array fine N=180.
Potential issue with clamp altering PDE; acceptable numeric guard.
Potential issue with dt=1 and 5-point Laplacian stable; reaction can maybe push >1 but clamp.
Potential issue with offscreen buffer context alpha false; `createImageData` works.
Potential issue with canvas width 720, CSS scaled; smooth. Good.

Need maybe run browser screenshot fresh after reload? We have full check. Could maybe verify no console errors after final change (if any). We should decide if edit to full signature and maybe add `const MAX...` robust. Let's make one small edit to full signature. Need browser reload recheck. But we've already passed all checks with current version; changing minor diagnostic doesn't affect simulation. Yet final file needs still work. Could avoid changes to not risk. But exact claim is okay because sampled signature could be called "field signature", not full exact. `matchesInitial` based on signature. Since reset is exact by construction, no issue. Could leave. Need maybe check HTML validity no external. Use `grep -E 'https?|src='` etc. Also maybe Node syntax check extracting script. Could use bash to ensure no external resources. Need perhaps inspect output from browser screenshot initial to see any UI overflow. At 1200x800 canvas extends below viewport; screenshot shows bottom cut. Is that a problem? The application is single page but can scroll. At viewport 1200x800, aspect-ratio 808x808 canvas plus header 100 => 920 height; body scroll. The user can scroll; fine. But if evaluator uses screenshot only initial viewport, lower part of canvas is cut off and central seed may be near y~510 visible; okay. Side diagnostics is visible mostly; simulation notes partly cut. Fine. Could reduce canvas max size to fit viewport height with CSS `max-height: calc(100vh - 140px)` and maybe width auto? Currently `.canvas-wrap { width:100%; aspect-ratio:1 }` in grid, so size determined by column width 808. To fit viewport, could set `.stage` width:min(100%, calc(100vh - 150px)) maybe max 720. The layout could have canvas 640px and extra horizontal space; perhaps better. Need perhaps design responsive to 1200x800 to show full canvas. Requirement not strict but visual. Could set `.layout` grid-template-columns: minmax(0, min(720px, calc(100vh - 150px))) 290px; justify-content:center;`. Then canvas width ≤650 at 800px height. Header ~90, padding 44 => calc(100vh-160)=640. Full canvas 640 from y~107 to747, fits. Side panel fits. This would improve screenshot. Current screenshot at 1200 width shows canvas 808 and bottom cut; organic pattern still mostly visible but not full. We could adapt layout with CSS:
```
.layout { grid-template-columns: minmax(0, 1fr) 290px; }
.stage { width: min(100%, calc(100vh - 150px)); max-width:720px; ...? }
```
But if `.stage` width smaller than grid column, left column leaves empty gap. Set `.layout { grid-template-columns: minmax(0, min(720px, calc(100vh - 150px))) 290px; justify-content:center; }` CSS min() supported. For 1200 viewport, calc=650 -> canvas 650-24=626, side 290 => total 960 centered. Header width 1120, fine. For narrow width 850, media query overrides grid-template-columns:1fr; but `.stage` could still be width full? fine. Need perhaps no need. But screenshot currently stage from x40 to848 and side x872 to1164, nicely uses width; cropped vertically. Reducing to 650 would make more whitespace but full canvas. Could be better. We can set `max-width: min(100%, calc(100vh - 140px))` on `.stage` and `justify-self:center` maybe. However `.canvas-wrap` width 100%; stage centered. On 1200x800, stage width 660, from x? grid column 808, centered gives x114..774; side remains x872, gap98. Fine. Full canvas y~106 to766. Good.
But user only cares simulation, not styling. Current screenshot visual patterns are impressive. Maybe leave.

Need perhaps test current at initial after reload again to compare reference thumb with initial main scene. We can perhaps call reload and immediately screenshot, but simulation evolves quickly; browser tool likely waits ~? first inspect generation54, so initial pattern already changed (expanding ring). However initial reference thumbnail remains fixed. We can compare via reset screenshot. Requirement "compare restored central seed with initial scene" can be with captured initial reference and exact signature. Done.

Need maybe ensure browser console no errors. We saw only info logs. Good.

Need maybe check pointer click, not just drag. We tested drag; pointerdown triggers brush, so click works. Could mention click path not separately tested. Should we test click explicitly? Requirement clicking or dragging; clicking is implemented by pointerdown; we can verify quickly with fresh reload perhaps click at upper-right and inspect `brush V`. Since pointerdown logs seed and brush V. Could test click as well. Need maybe use browser click on canvas after reset while paused to avoid evolution; then inspect snapshot brush V >0, center unchanged? But center from initial. That would overwrite reset state if we later need final initial scene; but final file unaffected. We can test click perhaps supplement. Need maybe keep final state irrelevant. Could call `browser click` at x600,y300 while paused (upper-right area), then inspect. That verifies click-only seeding. Then reset again. But we already tested drag and pointerdown is same. Could do to be thorough. Let's perhaps test click while paused and then reset. We have time. Need maybe check brush with click at x600,y300; canvas x40..848,y106..914, so normalized (.695,.24) separate region. Use click.

Click works and while paused. Need maybe reset one more time so final browser state initial, but file state doesn't matter. Could click reset again. But we may want to leave final screenshot showing initial scene for evaluation. Let's do reset and perhaps screenshot final. Also maybe optionally edit CSS for full canvas fit? Need decide. Current screenshot shows full canvas from y106 to maybe y914, but viewport cut at y800; central seed visible. A fresh screenshot after reset shows central seed and tiny reference. Fine. Could make canvas fit viewport with stage max-width though. Would be a visual improvement. But could introduce layout issues. The directive says visual styling choice, prioritize functionality. No need.

Need maybe ensure no external network requests. `grep` for http etc. Also maybe validate script syntax by extracting with Node. Could use simple:
```
node -e "const fs=...; const s=...; new Function(s); console.log('ok')"
```
Need account script has IIFE and browser globals; `new Function` only parses, not executes. Good. Also maybe check file size. Let's do.

We have final file and checks. Need maybe report briefly what actually checked and which behaviors remain unverified. Need be concise. Mention:
- built at `/tmp/job-gHZPmR/index.html`, self-contained.
- checked in browser: no console errors, initial seed evolves (mean V/center V/signature change from gen0, e.g. 0.002439 -> 0.002872 at gen6, etc.), drag/click pointer adds V in separate region (probe V 0 -> .0598 click; drag .0608 -> .0964 -> .1169 following frames), Pause holds generation 6086 over ~1.7s motion; resume increases; reset while paused returns gen0, center V .2501, exact field signature matches initial and visually matches reference; no external refs; JS parses.
- Remaining unverified: touch/pen input, narrow/mobile layout, very long-term numerical behavior / edge wrapping via direct pixel measurement. But wrapping implemented; we didn't directly verify wrapping across boundaries. Need mention perhaps "I did not directly test boundary-crossing patterns, touch input, or small-screen layout." The addendum asks report which behaviors remain unverified. Good.
Need ensure not overclaim early field evolution: from console gen0 to 6 to 22 center V changes; good.
Need perhaps mention no network requests. grep confirmed no refs, browser console no errors. Good.
Need maybe mention "clicking or dragging" actually we tested both. Good.
Need not mention all details. Final response with path and checks.

Created `/tmp/job-gHZPmR/index.html` as a single self-contained Canvas 2D app with inline CSS/JS and no external references. Browser checks performed: - Initial central seed evolved: mean/center V and field signature changed from generation 0 to early generations; organic patterns later appeared. - A dragged pointer seed in a separate region raised its V probe from 0, then continued changing in subsequent frames (`0.0608 → 0.0964 → 0.1169`). A click-only seed was also verified. - Pause held the generation and signature constant across motion frames; Resume advanced them again. - Reset restored generation 0, center V `0.250100`, mean V `0.002439`, and an exact field-signature match with the initial scene; the canvas also visually matched the initial reference thumbnail. - Console showed no errors; JavaScript parses and the file contains no network/external asset references. Not directly verified: touch/pen input, narrow mobile layout, and long-running behavior of patterns crossing wrapped edges.
