thinking
The clusters look too compressed, possibly because the screenshot was taken early. I should increase spacing by strengthening the cluster offset, widening link distance, and boosting charge, while accounting for cross-links pulling nodes together.

The clusters overlap, so I'll spread them out.

I built the force-directed graph in `/tmp/job-UjVeMU/index.html`. It loads `d3.min.js` with a plain script tag and has no external resources. I looked at screenshots of the layout before and after a spacing fix. The first render was one tangled clump, so I increased node repulsion, link distance and the pull toward each cluster's anchor. The second screenshot shows five separate, color-coded clusters with a few links between them. I didn't test dragging, hover highlighting or zoom/pan in the browser, so those are untested. The console showed only a sandbox warning from the preview iframe. - **Data:** 40 nodes and about 70 links are defined inline. The nodes are in five groups of eight (Core, Design, Data, Ops, Edge). Each group is a ring with a few chords, and ten links join the groups. - **Drag:** dragging a node pins it to the pointer, and it springs back into the layout when released. - **Hover:** hovering a node dims everything except it and its neighbors, and its links turn white and thicker. - **Zoom/pan:** scroll to zoom (0.2× to 6×) and drag the background to pan. In the second screenshot, some nodes in the Core cluster (Alice, Dave, Bob, Gina) still sit nearly on top of each other. You can drag them apart, or I can raise the collision radius or lower the cluster pull if you want that fixed in the layout.
