Prompt for this run
Build a pentatonic synthesizer pad grid and arpeggiator using the provided Tone.js library. Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed. Write it to `index.html` in the current working directory using your file tools. Inline your own CSS and JavaScript. Do not use external assets, CDNs, or network requests. Use the provided `tone.min.js` (global `Tone`) through a plain local script tag; the runner will inline it into the final artifact. Required behavior: - Show ten labeled pads for two octaves of a C-major pentatonic scale. Clicking a pad plays its note through a synthesized voice with reverb and visibly marks the active pad. - Provide a separate sequence-selection toggle for each pad. Start with a nonempty selection. The arpeggiator repeatedly plays selected notes in ascending pitch order, one note per eighth-note step. - Provide Play, Stop, and a tempo control from 60 to 180 BPM. Tempo and selection changes take effect during playback. An empty selection produces no new notes. - Activate audio through a user gesture. Stop prevents new arpeggiator notes, allowing existing release and reverb tails to decay. Repeated Play must not create overlapping schedulers. - Synthesize every sound; do not load audio files. Verify: Click a pad and check its active feedback. Start the arpeggiator, change one selected note and the tempo, and check that the visible sequence responds. Stop playback and inspect the console for audio-initialization or scheduling errors.

Initial render looks good, but the console shows a reverb worker blocked — I'll swap in a worker-free reverb and run the checks.

Diagnosing a persistent Tonejs worker error as internal library clock worker creation unrelated to user code.
The worker error comes from Tone.js itself at load time. Let me check whether it fails gracefully or needs a workaround.

All behaviors verified. Final check that the artifact is self-contained.

Done. `index.html` is saved and verified in the browser. **What was built** — a single self-contained `index.html` (inline CSS/JS, only a local `<script src="tone.min.js">`, zero network references): ten labeled pads for two octaves of C-major pentatonic (C4 D4 E4 G4 A4 C5 D5 E5 G5 A5, keys 1–0), each with its own SEQ toggle (starts with C4 E4 G4 A4 C5 selected); a `PolySynth(Triangle)` voice through compressor + convolver `Reverb` (synthesized impulse, no audio files); a `Tone.Loop` arpeggiator at eighth-note steps reading the live selection in ascending order; Play/Stop + 60–180 BPM slider; a live sequence strip; audio initialized only on user gesture; Stop halts scheduler but keeps nodes alive for tails; a single reused Loop plus an `isPlaying` guard prevents overlapping schedulers; empty selection yields silence with a notice. **Actually checked in the browser:** pad click activates audio (`audio: ready ✓`, no init errors) and the active-flash style was seen live on a pad; Play starts the arp (status, Stop enabled, next-chip highlighted); unchecking A4 mid-playback updated the strip to C4·E4·G4·C5; tempo change to 180 BPM applied live to status/readout; Stop halts and Play restarts cleanly with no duplicate schedulers or console errors. Console shows no audio-init or scheduling errors from the app. **Unverified / caveats:** the sandbox blocks Tone's clock worker (`worker-src 'none'`) and suspends the `AudioContext`, so real-time sound and per-step pad flashes couldn't be observed here — step UI is timed off the audio clock, which works in a real browser. I also caught and fixed a real sandbox-relevant bug along the way: `Freeverb` needs AudioWorklet loading (8 AbortErrors), so the reverb is convolver-based instead. The harness's click coordinates land ~40px high in the lower page area, so Play/Stop/tempo were driven via compensated clicks plus keyboard (Space, Tab, End) — all hitting the same code paths as a normal click.
